All horses and ponies competing, training or taking part in any Alvechurch Riding Club activity need to be fully vaccinated against flu.

You can check your dates using the BRC Flu Vac Checker.

For activities run by ARC

The horse or pony must have received a primary injection followed by:
• a second primary injection which is given not less than 21 days and not more than 92
days after the first
• a first booster injection which is given not less than 150 days and not more than 215
days after the second primary injection
• further annual booster injections at intervals of not more than a year apart.

No injection should have been given on any of the 6 days before the activity. For example: if the horse is vaccinated on the Monday, the horse will not be eligible to participate until the following Monday.

Please present your horse’s passport at declarations for checking. You should always have your horse’s passport with you when you travel.

For BRC Area activities

From 1 March 2020, in order to compete at any Area event a horse must be vaccinated in accordance with the above rules and MUST also have had a vaccination within 6 calendar months and 21 days (but not in any of the 6 preceding days) of the competition.
